Forward Modeling
as performed by RtEvrestÔ consists in
computing a synthetic resistivity tool response curve from the input resistivities
of a serie of beds (resistivity earth model).
The interactive use of RtEvrestÔ
allows iterative forward modeling, which is an efficient inversion
processing technique to recover from resistivity measured logs the most
suitable resistivity earth model formation.
Starting from an initial resistivity earth model, corrections
are iteratively applied until the computed resistivity log matches the
measured log with a chosen precision.
